Finally we can stop bringing up Balance without having talked about it yet. This has been my own personal prison until now.

A much shorter episode here, despite it being 5 cards in 1. The trick is: it's pretty obvious why these cards are powerful as designed, and we all know they're worth a lot of money if you manage to get your hands on one.

We recorded this on a rare Thursday night and the energy got a little weird in there, so we forgot to take photos for the thumbnail. We'll see how this one performs instead?

It's my turn to drive the Precon Precon this time, with the TMNT Turtle Power! Commander deck. We quickly became fans of this deck because of its novel use of the Partner mechanic to provide 6 (!!) different Commander options, and in a WUBRG shell no less (pun intended).

Iona is big bad vibes for 1-2 colour decks. Hell, it's bad vibes for anyone really. I didn't build these decks to not play the cards in them!

After a brief detour into Lorwyn, we're back onto the banlist with one we shot towards the start of the year: Yawgmoth's Bargain.

This card is nuts. We had a lot of fun with this one.

First off: a big thank you to Wizards of the Coast for hooking us up with a bunch of incredible Lorwyn Eclipsed products!

We took the Precon Precon format for another spin with the Blight Curse deck from Lorwyn Eclipsed, but did things a little differently this time. Gramps handled the tagging of the deck prior to recording and spent this episode walking me through the deck, kinda like an extended version of how he would prior to a game with someone new. We enjoyed mixing the format up a little like this, so stay tuned for more of this in future?
